Christmas Cocktails

Celebrate the festive season with these Christmas Cocktails. Whether you are enjoying a drink after a long day of Christmas shopping or preparing Christmas drinks for your friends and family, these cocktails will be sure to blow you away!

Peppermint Champagne Cocktail

What You’ll Need

  • 1 bottle of ice-cold Champagne
  • White Creme de Cacao
  • 1 Candy Cane per glass + 1 extra

What You Need To Do

  1. Take the extra candy cane and seal it in a ziplock bag.
  2. Crush the candy cane with a rolling pin into a semi-fine powder, and empty it into a small bowl (this is a great opportunity to get out your frustrations about dealing with your in-laws).
  3. Pour out a little of the White Creme de Cacao into a small bowl.
  4. Dip the rim of each champagne flute in the bowl of White Creme de Cacao, then into the bowl of crushed candy cane.
  5. Fill each glass 1/3 of the way full with White Creme de Cacao, then top with chilled champagne.
  6. Place a candy cane in each champagne flute for added flavour and enjoy!

Mistletoe Margaritas

What You’ll Need

  • Coarse salt
  • 60mls Grand Marnier
  • 45mls Tequila
  • 60mls white cranberry juice
  • 60mls freshly squeezed lime
  • 30mls simple syrup
  • Lime (for garnish)
  • Fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • Rosemary (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for simple syrup)

What You’ll Need To Do

  1. Make the simple syrup by combining water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved and allow to simmer. While the simple syrup is cooling to room temperature, make your cocktail.
  2. Cover the rim of your glass with a lime wedge and then dip in the coarse salt.
  3. Fill each glass with ice.
  4. Add the Grand Marnier, Tequila, cranberry juice, lime juice and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker and get shaking.
  5. Pour your cocktail over the ice and garnish with extra lime, cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.

Rosemary Cinnamon Old Fashioned

What You’ll Need

For the Rosemary Cinnamon Simple Syrup

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 water
  • 6 sprigs of rosemary
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

For the Cocktail

  • 4 teaspoons of cinnamon rosemary simple syrup
  • 3 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • 60mls of bourbon
  • 1 orange peel
  • Rosemary sprigs (for garnish)

What You’ll Need To Do

For the Rosemary Cinnamon Simple Syrup

  1. Combine the honey, water, rosemary sprigs, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer and stir frequently until the honey has dissolved.
  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
  4. Once cool, remove rosemary and cinnamon sticks.

For the Cocktail

  1. Add 4 teaspoons of the rosemary cinnamon simple syrup and 3 dashes of the Angostura bitters to your glass.
  2. Swirl the syrup and the bitters around in your glass.
  3. Stir in the bourbon, ice and orange peel to your glass, and enjoy!

White Christmas Mojito

What You’ll Need

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 8 mint leaves
  • 1tbs of sugar
  • 2tbs of white rum
  • 1tbs of coconut rum
  • 1/4 cup of coconut milk
  • Sparkling water
  • Pomegranate Arils

What You’ll Need To Do

  1. Muddle the lime juice, sugar and mint leaves in a glass until the mint leaves break down.
  2. Fill the glass halfway with ice.
  3. Combine the white rum, coconut rum, and coconut milk in a blender until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the ice and stir to combine.
  5. Top your drink with sparkling water, mint and the pomegranate arils, and enjoy!
