It is no secret that we love Whiskey. Whether served neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail, it’s a drink that we will never say no to!
Over the past year, we have tried our fair share of whiskeys and have put together the list of our absolute favourites.
Hibiki Whiskey
From the House of Suntory comes the expertly crafted Hibiki Whiskey. The Hibiki Whiskey was first created to in 1989 to commemorate Suntory’s 90th anniversary. Be transported to a place of ultimate luxury with just one sip of this beautiful blend of malt and grain whiskeys. Named Japan’s most highly awarded whiskey, it is no wonder that this bottle has made it into our top whiskeys of 2018.
Woodford Reserve
Woodford Reserve is certainly the master of their craft. This Kentucky based distillery has been in operation since 1812 and producing high-quality whiskeys ever since. In addition to being one of our favourite whiskeys of the year, each bottle of Woodford Reserve can be personalised, making it a brilliant Christmas gift.
Nikka Whiskey
Since launching in 1940, Nikka Whiskey has been captivating whiskey lovers across the globe. Located in the heart of Tokyo, this was created by Masataka Taketsuru, who travelled the great distance to Scotland to learn the art of whisky distillery first hand. Offering seven unique whiskey varietals, you’ll be sure to find something that you love at Nikka Whiskey.
Yamazaki Whiskey
The House of Suntory is heralded as the pioneer of Japanese whiskey, therefore it is no surprise that our next favourite whiskey comes from this legendary distillery. Yamazaki Whiskey is created from Japan’s first and oldest malt distillery. This delicate single malt whiskey offers a multi-layered taste and is the number one malt whiskey in Japan.
Chivas 18
If you’ve been following us for a while, then you will be well aware of our love for Chivas. This year we are particularly loving the Chivas 18. This beautiful blend of 85 flavour notes is remarkably smooth with velvety chocolate hints. We love Chivas 18 and are sure that you will too.
